Overview

Synopsis

Barrister Edward, acting for the defense in a rape trial, and his wife Kitty are friends with the case’s crown prosecutor Tim. When they try to set him up with Kitty’s friend Zara, their seemingly perfect marriage begins to unravel. Despite having counseled their best friends, Jake and Rachel, through their own marital problems, Kitty soon embarks on an affair with Tim. She is unable to forgive Edward for a past affair and wants him to know how it feels. However, she finds herself falling for Tim. After a bitter argument, Kitty accuses Edward of rape and the question of consent pervades all aspects of their lives. Friendships and relationships are on the line as no one ever has the full truth, yet everyone is quick to judge everyone else.
