Camidius is a Roman soldier and Mark Antony’s lieutenant-general. He is close to his leader and is shocked when Antony deserts his own men in battle to follow Cleopatra and her retreating fleet. He decides to defect to Caesar’s camp and abandon Antony to his fate.
